There is no public transport to Halnaby Hall Stables; the nearest train station is Darlington, approximately 8 miles away. Halnaby Hall Stables is accessed by a private tarmac drive approximately 1 mile from the public road, across a cattle grid.
Car Parking and Arrival
There is ample parking in the graveled courtyard. Access to the house from the courtyard is via a door 35 inches / 889 mm wide and there are two 4 inch / 102 mm steps. Once inside the house, it is spacious with plenty of natural light.
On the ground floor are the dining room, drawing room and hall, all of which are comfortable and spacious.
The three guest bedrooms are on the first floor, accessed by a wide staircase with 3 steps to the first landing, 9 steps to the second landing, 2 steps to the third landing and 4 steps to the main landing. The steps are 33 inches/838 mm wide and rise 7 inches / 178 mm. There is a banister on the left hand side when ascending.
Bathrooms, Shower-rooms & Toilets (En-suite)
All bedrooms are en-suite with a good size shower, toilet, and washbasin; each shower has a 6 inch / 153 mm step up. Bedroom doors are 31 inches / 787 mm wide.
Public Areas – Hall, Lounge, Dining Room
These are all situated on the ground floor, carpeted throughout (except for the entrance hall which has a wooden floor) and with no steps between them. There is also a cloakroom on the ground floor for the use of guests, with a toilet and wash basin.
We are able to cater for varying dietary requirements regarding breakfast. Please advise us when making a booking.
There is a paved terrace around three sides of the ground floor, with outdoor seating. This is separated from the grounds by a graveled area.
Halnaby Hall Stables is not fully accessible to all due to the bedrooms being on the first floor; however we will do our utmost to cater for people with restricted mobility. If you have any queries regarding access please contact Rosie Lister.
